Card pre-grading in 15 minutes

Don't guess your card grade. Measure it.

Grade with certainty, not hope. Measure centering to the pixel, inspect corners, edges, and surface under magnification. All before the card leaves your hands. Client-ready QR report included.

What you'll know after one session

Four checks, one report. Each maps to a Beckett subgrade.

01 – Centering

Is the print centered?

You get exact pixel distances from each edge and a T/B, L/R ratio. 49/51 is fine. 44/56 isn't. You'll see exactly how far the artwork sits from where it should be.

It's the one subgrade you can measure precisely before submitting. And the one where most cards lose points.

02 – Corners

Cut quality and wear on each corner

Each corner gets a macro photo and a verdict: even cut or uneven, wear present or not. You'll also see card fibers and black core exposure – the stuff that matters under a BGS loupe but is invisible at arm's length.

03 – Edges

Wear marks, fibers, chips along the perimeter

All four sides under magnification. The report lists what was found and where – fiber lifting, black core spots, chips, rough factory cuts. When you say "edges are clean," there's proof behind it.

04 – Surface

Scratches, dents, factory defects

The best tool we've built for surface inspection. Multiple filters, front and back separately, with a checklist for every defect type. If something's there, you'll see it.

Everything goes into a shareable report

Centering diagram, corner verdicts, edge and surface findings, proof photos – all in one document. Share it via link or QR code. It's not a BGS certificate, but it's the closest thing you can produce yourself.

Built for card shops, traders, and collectors

Different goals, same workflow.

Shops

Offer pre-grading as a paid service. A report takes 15 minutes and gives clients something to hold before they pay for BGS or PSA.

Traders & Buyers

Measure before you trade or buy. Pixel-level data instead of "looks good to me" – fewer surprises, fewer disputes.

Sellers

Attach a QR report to your listing. Buyers can verify condition themselves – that's usually enough to close the deal faster.

Frequently asked questions

Accuracy depends on your image quality and camera setup. Our tools measure to the pixel, but the result is a pre-grade - an informed assessment, not a replacement for professional grading. Think of it as the best data you can get before submitting.
For the most accurate results, a macro camera or a USB microscope works best. A Raspberry Pi with well-matched lenses is another solid option. Phone cameras are tricky - they need to be perfectly centered and can introduce lens distortion, which is critical when measuring by image. We're also working on scanner-based measurements: at minimum you'll be able to measure centering with a good flatbed scanner. This feature is still in testing, but early results are promising.
We believe Beckett's grading framework is the future - it's logical, transparent, and publicly documented. The four-subgrade system (centering, corners, edges, surface) gives you clear, actionable data. And Black Label 10 is already the gold standard for a perfect card. But even if you're sending your card to another company, it still helps to know what you're working with.
No. We have no access to other companies' proprietary technologies. All algorithms and approaches are developed by us independently. That said, for grading criteria and score thresholds we follow the scale described on Beckett's official Grading Scale.
During measurement and image capture - no. Your images are processed in the session and not saved. However, when you save a report to share it with someone (via link or QR code), the report images are stored on the server at that point. Beyond that, we collect and store absolutely no other data about you - no analytics, no tracking, no logs. Even if you break something, we won't know who did it :)
We're happy to help, but let's be honest - this is a specialized tool. To get meaningful results you need to understand card anatomy (borders, centering, corners) and have the right camera setup. If you just need to check one card, the learning curve might not be worth it. But if you grade regularly or want to build that skill - reach out, we'll get you started.
This is not a mass-market product - we build it for the community. That said, computation and storage do cost resources, so it depends on your goals. Write to us and we'll discuss what we can do for you.
